First of all, we want to say that we are sooooo excited about this coming year and that we hope you are all enjoying your summers! As we head into the last month of break we want you all to start thinking about getting into ultimate shape, especially since our first tournament will be soon after we get back. We know that all of you have varying commitments and abilities to train and practice, so we have decided on a flexible baseline for working out in August. You should use the guidelines as a weekly checklist that we expect everyone to complete each week. We encourage you to go above and beyond these achievable basics! Attached are some ideas of workouts and exercises you all can use to fulfill the checklist.

We encourage you to supplement this with other workouts, whether that's playing Ultimate, hiking, biking, dancing, swimming, or whatever else makes you feel fit and happy. This way when we return to Swat we will be ready to make the most of our practices and tournaments. It's super important that we are all in good shape to avoid pesky injuries!
As a way of keeping in touch and keeping track of these preseason workouts, we are creating a group blog to share stories, photos, songs, recommendations, or whatever you want as a record of your workouts. We think this will be way more fun and motivating! We will also have a weekly poll set up, so we can keep track of how many moms are doing the weekly baseline.
